Came in with chronic lower back pain after years of office work. Dr. Patel actually listened, ran a proper assessment, and built a plan around my schedule. Six weeks in and I'm sleeping through the night again. The clinic itself is calm and welcoming.

Tore my ACL in a soccer game and was told my season was over. Tanvir built me a return-to-play programme that pushed but never broke me. Back on the pitch — stronger than before. Honest, expert, no upsell. Cannot recommend enough.

Sciatica had me dreading every car ride. Dr. Reid was the first person to actually find the root issue and explain it in plain language. Three weeks of treatment and I'm back to long drives without flinching. Direct insurance billing was a nice bonus.

Post-surgery rehab on my knee with Dr. Marchetti. She coordinated with my surgeon, never overpromised, and met me where I was at every visit. Walking without a limp inside three months. Worth every dollar and every minute of the drive.

Tried acupuncture with Wei for chronic migraines after exhausting other options. Came in skeptical, left a believer. Tension headaches dropped from daily to almost none. He explains everything calmly and adjusts each session to how I'm feeling.

Aisha's massage therapy is the real deal. Came in with shoulder tension and constant headaches from desk work. Three sessions in I'm a different person — sleeping better, posture corrected, no more pain at the keyboard. Easy booking, never running late.

Before You Visit

Quick answers about your first visit.

Take the friction out of your first appointment — the basics our patients ask before they walk in.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing you can move in, your insurance card (if you have coverage), and any imaging or referral letters from a previous provider. We'll handle the rest.

Do you direct bill insurance?

Yes — for most major Canadian extended-health plans. We submit the claim directly so you don't have to chase paperwork. We'll confirm coverage before your appointment.

How early should I arrive?

For your first visit, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete a short intake form. Follow-up visits don't require any extra time — come right on the hour.

Do I need a referral for physiotherapy in Ontario?

No referral is needed for physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, or acupuncture in Ontario — they're all direct-access regulated professions. Just book online and we'll see you on your schedule. A referral may still help with insurance claims, so check with your provider.

What conditions can physiotherapy treat?

Physiotherapy at Physio2Health treats back and neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, joint replacements, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, rotator-cuff issues, knee and ankle injuries, headaches, posture-related pain, and chronic conditions like arthritis. If you're unsure whether physio is right for you, book a free consultation — we'll assess and recommend the right path.

How long is a physiotherapy session?

Initial physiotherapy assessments at our Richmond Hill clinic are a full 60 minutes so we have time to listen, examine, and explain. Follow-up sessions are typically 30 to 45 minutes depending on your plan. We never double-book or rush — you get the full appointment with your practitioner.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

It depends on the condition. Acute injuries often resolve in 4 to 8 sessions; post-surgical rehab and chronic pain typically need 8 to 12 visits across several months. Your physio will give you an honest estimate at the end of your assessment, and we adjust the plan as you progress — never more sessions than you actually need.

Does physiotherapy hurt?

Treatment shouldn't be painful. Some techniques — like deep-tissue release, mobilisation, or stretching tight tissue — can feel like a "good ache" you can clearly tolerate. We talk through every technique before applying it, and you can stop or adjust at any point. Mild soreness after a session is normal for 24 hours, similar to a workout.

What's the difference between physiotherapy, chiropractic, and osteopathy?

Physiotherapy combines manual therapy with exercise prescription and rehab planning — ideal for injuries, post-surgical recovery, and long-term function. Chiropractic care focuses on the spine and joint adjustments to relieve pain and improve alignment. Manual osteopathy is a whole-body approach addressing muscles, joints, and connective tissue together. All three are available at Physio2Health under one roof, and our practitioners often collaborate on your plan.
